How to Link PAN with SBI Account online & offline?

The State Bank of India is the most trusted brand in the country. In the last few years, the bank has added various new features in its online services for the customers. In this post, I will share information about how to link PAN with SBI account online & offline.

SBI offers online banking services to its customers through the SBI website www.onlinesbi.com. The State Bank of India online portal provides anywhere, anytime, online access to accounts for its customers.

Link PAN with SBI Account

If you want to link your PAN number with your SBI account, then you can do it either online or offline. You need to link your Permanent Account Number with your bank account to get your income tax refund. Your Permanent Account Number also required for making high-value transactions.

How to Link PAN with SBI Account online?

You can link PAN card to SBI account online through SBI net banking using your internet banking credentials. For this, you must an active SBI Internet banking service for the account.

Simply follow the steps mentioned below to link your pan card with SBI Bank account online.

1. Visit SBI online net banking portal www.onlinesbi.com

2. Log in to your account using your internet banking credentials.

4. Under the “e-Services” section, select the “PAN Registration” option.link your pan card with SBI Bank account online

5. The PAN registration page will appear on your screen. Here, you have to enter your profile password. Note that the profile password is different from the login password.SBI PAN Link

7. If not then, select the account number for which you want to register your Permanent Account Number. Enter your PAN number in the space provided. Click on the “Submit” tab.

8. Your request for PAN registration will be forwarded to your bank branch for processing.

9. The branch will process your request for SBI PAN Link in 7 days.

10. You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number once your PAN is linked with your account.

Note: If your SBI PAN Card link request is rejected due to some reason, then visit your bank branch for the same.

How to Link PAN Card with SBI Account offline

If you are not using internet banking facility, then you have to visit the branch for PAN registration. Follow the steps mentioned below for offline SBI PAN card number.

1. Visit your nearest State Bank of India branch.

2. While visiting the branch carry a copy of your PAN card. Also, carry the original PAN card as the bank executive may ask you to verify the same.

3. At the bank branch, collect the letter of request from the counter and fill it with the information required.

4. Submit the duly filled letter of request along with a copy of your PAN to the executive in the bank.

5. After the necessary verification, the request of linking the bank account with the PAN will be processed by the branch.

6. Once the linking is done, you will receive an SMS regarding the status of the same from the bank on your registered mobile number.

Final Thoughts

Every State Bank of India account holder should link PAN with SBI Account using an online or offline method. The online method is convenient. In this, you can do it online without visiting the bank branch.

The major reason for linking your PAN card with SBI account is that in case of the income tax refund, it will be credited easily to your account. Therefore, you must ensure that your PAN is linked with your bank account.
