The app is built for India with all the features and rewards you love, plus much more. This application works with mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop. This post provides detailed information on the features and benefits of this app.

Google Pay App

It is a digital payment app by Google for India. It is the simplest way to send or request money from family and friends using a mobile phone. You can also recharge your prepaid phone and pay your utility bills using this application.

You can send money home to your family, pay the neighborhood chaiwala, or receive payments directly to your bank account. Using it, you can make all payments directly from your bank account.

This application is available for Android and iOS users. Google Pay app download from Google Play Store (Android users). Google Pay download from the App Store (iOS users). Install the app on your gadget, link your bank account and you are ready to use the app.

How to set Google Pay App on your phone?

Setting it on your phone is very quick and easy. You just need an active Indian bank account and an active Indian phone number which is linked to your bank account to set up this application.

1. Download and install the app on your phone from Google Play Store or the App Store.

2. Open the application and select the language of your preference.

3. Enter your mobile number (use your mobile number that is linked with your bank account).

4. Sign with your Google account. If you have multiple Google accounts, it will ask you to select anyone.

5. Here you will be prompted to choose screen lock or Google PIN for additional security. You can use your existing phone screen lock.

6. Now link your bank account to the app. You can select your bank from the list. If you don’t see your bank, it doesn’t work with this application yet.

7. Enter your UPI PIN, if you have an existing UPI PIN.

8. Click on Forgot PIN if you don’t remember your UPI PIN and follow the instructions.

9. If you have not activated your UPI account, the application will allow you to set it up instantly by entering your debit card information.​

10. Once your Google Pay account is set up, you can send or receive money using it.

How to send money using the Google Pay App?

You can send money to friends and family in India using Google Pay account. You can find people to send money to if they’re nearby or you can search for them by their:

1. Name

2. Phone number

3. UPI ID

4. Bank Account and IFSC code

Send money to someone nearby

Google pay send money to someone near you who uses this app.

1. Open the app on both phones.

2. Slide the circle up towards “Pay”.

3. Ask the other person to slide the circle down towards “Receive”.

4. When it appears, tap their profile photo.

5. If you don’t see their photo. Go to the home screen. Tap More > Scan QR code. Ask the person to pull up their QR code so that you can scan it.

Note: To do this, you’ll need to let the application use your camera.

6. Enter the amount and description, and select the form of payment.

7. Tap “Proceed to pay”.

8. Enter your UPI PIN.

9. When the money has been sent, you will get a notification.

Google Pay send money to someone anywhere in India

1. Open the application.

2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap a contact under “Payments”.

4. If you don’t find the person, tap New and search for them by name, phone number, account number, or UPI ID.

5. Make sure that you enter the correct details. Once you send the money, the transaction can’t be canceled.

6. Tap “Pay”.

7. Enter the amount and description and select the form of payment.

8. Tap “Proceed to pay”.

9. Enter your UPI PIN.

10. When the money has been sent, you’ll get a notification. You’ll also receive an SMS from your bank with the debited amount.

How to get or request money?

You can also get or receive money in the account set as Primary in bank account settings.

From someone using G. Pay nearby

1. Open the application.

2. Swipe the circle down towards “Receive”.

3. Ask the other person to swipe the circle up towards “Pay”.

4. The other person will need to tap on your photo to pay you.

5. Once they have begun the payment process, you will see their name on your screen.

6. When your money arrives, you’ll get a notification.

With a QR code from someone using G. Pay nearby

You can also receive money by QR code.

1. Open the application.

2. Tap More > Display QR code.

3. Ask the other person to tap “Scan QR code” and scan the QR code on your mobile device.

4. When your money arrives, you’ll get a notification.

From a G. Pay contact somewhere else in India

1. Open the application.

2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap the photo of the contact.

4. You can also search for their name, phone number, account number, or UPI ID.

5. Tap request at the bottom of the screen.

6. Enter the amount and description.

7. Tap “Request”.

8. When the other person finishes paying or declines your request, you’ll get a notification.

Google Pay Limits

There are daily and monthly limits to how much money you can send or receive using this application. You may reach a daily limit if you try to send more than Rs.1,00,000 and 10 times in one day across all UPI apps. Just wait until the next day to send more money.
