How to Activate SBI Net Banking online?

You can now register and activate SBI net banking online using your SBI ATM card or SBI Debit card. Just follow the step by step instructions given below to start SBI online net banking activation process.

Step 1

Go to the SBI official website (https://www.onlinesbi.com) and click on “New User Registration” in the personal banking section.sbi online net banking

Once you click on the “New User Registration” option a popup box will open. Here you have to click on “OK” to proceed further.sbi online net banking

Next page, select the “New User Registration” option from the drop-down menu. Click on the “Next” tab.

Step 4

Now a new screen will be open, here you have to fill the following account related details.

a) Account Number

b) CIF Number

c)  Branch code

d) Country

e) Registered Mobile number

Now type captcha code and click on the “Submit” tab.

Step 5

After submitting the account details, you will receive an OTP (One-time password) on the mobile number entered by you. Enter the OTP and click on the “Confirm” tab.Activate SBI internet banking

Next screen you have two options:

a) I have my ATM Card (online registration without branch visit)

b) I do not have my ATM Card (Activation by branch only).Activate SBI internet banking

Select the first option if you have an ATM card and click on the “Submit” tab. Note that if you do not have an ATM card, SBI online services will be activated by the branch.

Step 7

In the next screen, you can complete the registration and activate SBI Internet banking services for your account using your ATM card.

Step 8

Next screen you are displayed your temporary username. Note down your username. Here you have to create your login password. Note that it is 8 characters long and is a combination of upper and lower case alphabets, and contains at least one number and one special character. Reenter your password and click on the “Submit” tab.State bank of India Net banking

Your SBI online personal banking registration is successful. Now visit the login page and log in to SBI Internet banking services with the temporary username and password.

Step 10

Next screen you have to create a user Id of your choice to override the temporary username. Here you also need to set a login password and profile password for State Bank of India Net banking. The login password should be a combination of alphabets, number and special characters at least 8 characters long.

Done! Your SBI Internet banking is activated. Now your bank is just a click away. You can log in to your SBI account and use SBI online banking services from anywhere anytime at your convenience.

Note: The above-mentioned method is for those who did not receive the pre-printed kit from the bank branch for activating the IBN facility. If you received the pre-printed kit, then use your user Id and password to access the internet banking service on a normal login screen.
